We cannot wait for the release date of the song. Bronnie has released a snippet of the song on her socials in promotion of “Danced With The Devil”; and from what we can hear of the track, it’s definitely going to be a track we’ll love.

That isn’t all though, the profits of the single will go towards non-profit movement Buddy Project. They raise awareness of mental health and aim to prevent suicide. They pair people up as buddies to help people talk about what they’re going through.

If that hasn’t tempted you enough to pre-order the new single, then we’re sure Bronnie’s words may encourage you instead. We managed to exclusively interview her about her “Danced With The Devil” single release, the Buddy Project, and her upcoming headline tour – which is less than two months away now.

Hi Bronnie, how have you been recently?

Hey! I’ve been really busy. I just came off my ninth tour in 13 months so it’s been pretty much non stop all year. I’ve loved playing to so many people in the UK and US though.

Your brand new single is “Danced With The Devil”. Can you tell us more about the song?

I’d say it’s my deepest song yet, and I didn’t pull any punches with the lyrics. It’s a song about mental health issues and I didn’t shy away from singing from a perspective that most people are uncomfortable about – even thinking about. But I hope it achieves two things; that it resonates with people who are suffering from mental health issues and they seek help where they need it; but, also that those who are fortunate enough to not currently suffer from any serious mental health issues become more aware and look out for the signs with their family and friends.

The profits earned from the song is going to Buddy Project, can you tell us why you chose this non-profit movement?

I’ve followed their work for a while now and I really admire what they do as a non-profit mental health awareness organisation so I wanted to do my little bit to help.

The song is available to pre-order now, how excited are you for it to be released?

Oh, I’m totally excited. Releasing new music is always exciting because you get feedback on your work but I think this one is an important release for me as my fans are generally used to me releasing songs that are fun, relatable pop-punk tracks; whereas, “Danced With The Devil” hopefully demonstrates deeper relatable work. I will be staying up at midnight on Sunday evening to feel the buzz of the release online for sure!

What does the song mean to you?

It means a lot to me. I spend a lot of time talking to a lot of my fans that unfortunately suffer from mental health. “Danced With The Devil” goes out to those fans.

Where did the inspiration to write this song come from?

I got inspiration, for this song particularly, from reading an article that Kellin Quinn from the band Sleeping With Sirens shared in July on Twitter about a woman who suffered from Mental Health. In the article she was talking about her wedding day and she was walking down the aisle looking at her child and soon to be husband thinking to herself that this time last year she wanted to end her life and how happy she didn’t because in the space of a year she got pregnant, had a child and got engaged. She would have missed out on major life experiences.

I based the lyrics in the chorus around that article. I can’t find that article anywhere so I guess it really was a ‘right place at the right time’ moment when it came to finding it. Inspiration to write this song also came to me by listening to a lot of sad slow songs by bands like My Chemical Romance, Mayday Parade, Sleeping With Sirens, Twenty One Pilots, etc.

Choose four words that describe “Danced With The Devil”.

Powerful. Emotional. Heavy. Rock.

Will there be a music video? And, if so, can you reveal any exclusives about it?

I am going to be a tease on this one and say that I look forward to speaking to you in a separate interview on this subject. A second interview will help me raise additional awareness so please indulge me on this occasion!!

Sounds good to us. We can’t wait for our follow-up interview. The song was produced by Peter Gebbie, what was it like working with him?

Pete is awesome! He also produced two of my other singles, “Modern Day Christmas” and “Scared Much”. He totally gets me and the music I want to release. It’s like working with someone who can mind read. We both love pop-punk so the music he produces is exactly the sound I’m after. My fans will be seeing more of Pete as he is joining me in January on my Rejex Tour, as my lead guitarist and we are working on dozens of new songs for the next couple of years.

We adore the cover artwork; can you tell us more about it?

I designed it all myself. It’s an artistic side that I’ve never really shown before but I enjoyed creating the drawing and it eventually becoming the sleeve artwork. I drew inspiration from My Chemical Romance and Tim Burton.

You released a teaser video of the song on your socials, what has the reaction been like so far?

Oh huge, my fans are hungry for new material especially after the success of the “Social Rejex EP” being number three on the rock charts so there is a sense of excitement for the release. I think the subject matter is adding extra meaning to the song.

2017 is coming to an end, which means your headline tour is just around the corner, how excited are you for it?

I couldn’t be more excited if I tried. The Rejex Tour is my first headline tour and I’ve spent the past nine tours as a support act dreaming of having my own tour. We are so happy with ticket sales too, the fan base has been so amazing getting behind me and buying tickets early. I will have new bandmates on this tour too so I’m looking forward to everyone hearing Pete, George and Anthony play. Rehearsals started last week and it’s all sounding fantastic. Also, a big shout-out to Spike and Janie at Alstar Music, the tour promoter. Their attention to detail and hard work to make tours exciting is amazing. Between my band, Alstar, my management and I we will make sure the Rejex Tour is memorable for everyone who comes along!

What else can we expect from you in 2018?

Lots of new songs and a combination of support tours and headline shows. We will do EP2, it’s currently being worked on and selective additional releases on Spotify in between EP and single releases on iTunes etc. I want to go back to the US too, touring there in the summer was fun so I hope to make that a regular thing.

And, finally, your fans have been incredible to date. What’s the one thing you love most about them?

If I release a song or announce a tour, they are so supportive straight away. Ultimately, I couldn’t do what I do without them and I absolutely love every second of every day as a recording and touring artist. I love it when they send me messages on social media too. It’s so nice to be able to communicate with fans these days.

Thank you Bronnie for another awesome interview. We wish you success with your new single “Danced With The Devil” and we sure can’t wait to hear it and write about it. We’re also very excited about the tour and can’t wait to see you there.

Don’t forget to pre-order “Danced With The Devil” right now, and be ready on 4 December 2017 when the song officially drops.
