2015 has been a busy year for Adele. We have taken a look back at every incredible thing the diva has achieved!.

After three years away from the spotlight Adele unexpectedly came back in October and announced the release of her third album 25. She then surprise-released the first single Hello the day after on October 23.  Adele shared a personal message with all of her fans on social media where she explained the meaning behind her upcoming album.

Adele’s single and video were released on the same day – her fans were so blessed!  She premiered the song on BBC Radio 1 during Nick Grimshaw’s morning show. Hello received positive reviews from both fans and critics. The music video that was released even beat the Vevo Record by getting over 23.2 million views within 24 hours. It now has over 770.000.000 views on YouTube.

Hello became the biggest number-one single on the UK Singles Chart in three years with 333,000 combined sales. The single also beat Justin Bieber’s hit What Do You Mean? when it came to online streaming. Hello was streamed 7.32 million times in the week following its release. The single debuted at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 3. Hello is the 24th song to debut at number one on Billboard Hot 100 in the chart’s history. Hello also became the first song to ever sell over one million downloads in a week.

Adele finally released her third album, 25, on November 20 this year. Her two last albums, 19 and 21, were incredibly successful but despite that, Adele heavily considered leaving the music industry. Luckily for all of us, she decided to take a sabbatical instead.  She focused on raising her son with her husband during her time away. 25 had been in the making for four years before it was released. In an interview with Q Magazine from 2011 the singer revealed that she had written seven songs for her third album. 25 was still incomplete as of May of this year.

As of now 25 has 6× Platinum certifications in the United Kingdom with over two million album sales, and 5× Platinum certifications in the United States of America with almost six million album sales. 25 sold over three million copies in the first week alone in the US. That is more than Taylor Swift’s 1989 and Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late combined.

Adele filmed a television special hosted by Graham Norton for BBC One called Adele at the BBC. The special aired on November 20 and lasted an hour. She also performed a show at Radio City Music Hall called Adele Live in New York City which aired on December 14. It was hosted by Jimmy Fallon and it received 11.3 million viewers.

Adele also did a special version of Hello with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots where they played on classroom instruments. It has received over 23.500.000 views in less than a month.

Not too long ago Adele announced a new European and US tour. The tickets for the Europe shows went on sale first and they were sold out in mere minutes. In the United States over 10 million people tried to get tickets for Adele’s tour, however, there were only 750.000 tickets available. Ticketmaster revealed that over four million people tried to get their hands on one of the 100.000 available tickets for her six shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It is needless to say that those were sold out pretty quickly as well.

In just two short months Adele has managed to beat almost all records in the music industry. We are pretty sure that the entire world is grateful that Adele has chosen to share her voice and her music with the rest of us instead of disappearing. If we have to wait three more years for an album as good as 25 then we will be very happy to do so.
